The National Community Reinvestment Coalition is holding its 2010 conference in Washington DC.

The NCRC 2010 National Conference includes plenary sessions, workshops and networking on how we can help those communities hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis and address widespread unemployment.  The conference will also feature events to commemorate NCRC’s 20th anniversary.

The split-rate property tax bill has a hearing coming up, and needs your support.  Please read this post for more information and to find out how to contact your Maryland legislators about this bill.  Slumlords and others who abandon property in Baltimore City need to be taxed at a higher rate to pay for the additional burden on City services!

Speaking of slumlords, Jack W. Stollof, part of the tax lien bid-rigging trio, is due to be sentenced March 25 at the Federal courthouse in Baltimore.  We’re hoping the victims of Steve L. Berman, Harvey Nusbaum, and Jack W. Stollof will have some recourse after Stollof’s sentencing.
